Organic Cotton & Wool Non-Innerspring Futon Mattresses

This mattress was created for people that like to sleep on futons. It works great on futon bed frames! Blending the pureness of organic cotton with natural wool creates the best mattress for a good night's rest. The natural fibers allow air circulation and breath-ability for a healthier sleeping environment. Using only Sonoma County pure grow wool and organic cotton in our mattresses (with untreated cotton duck shell), this all-natural bed system allows your body to replenish itself refreshingly during sleep.

Combining our organic cotton with our pure grow wool has given us the flame-retardant standard we are required to have by law. This means a medical prescription is not needed.

No innerspring coils system
Free from toxins, formaldehyde, pesticides, VOC off-gassing, and chemicals.
No chemical fire retardants. The wool acts as a natural fire retardant.
No chemical foams.
No static build up.
No Synthetic materials.
The wool also helps regulate the body temperature to help provide a better night's sleep. It also does not provide a favorable environment for mold, mildew, and dust mites.

Toxic Chemical Fire Retardants Used In Conventional Mattresses
Anderson Laboratories tested respiratory toxicity of mattress emission on mice. The data demonstrates that some mattresses release toxic (poisonous) chemicals into the air. The study found tested the fumes from several types of mattresses, especially ones with vinyl covers and polyurethane foam cores. The data demonstrated irritation to the throat, eyes, and nose. Some also had difficulty breathing. Some developed asthma like reactions. The study can be found in Environmental Health, 2000, Vol. 55, pp 38-43

Custom Mattress Form: It does cost more to make custom made items than our items listed on this site. When determining the custom size of a mattress, please make sure that there is room for error so that the mattress will not be larger than the frame. Mattresses are made by hand and the actual size can vary by 1" from the sizes that you send us.
30 DAY MATTRESS COMFORT EXCHANGE POLICY: Mattresses, except custom and layered mattresses, come with a 30 day comfort exchange policy. Mattress Warranty information. All of our mattresses are handmade and can vary up to 1" in size. We do not warranty allergies. On bedding products, we are unable to accept a return on bedding products once they have been used.
Freight Policy: Whenever signing for freight, always sign "SUBJECT TO INSPECTION" above your signature.

The law is scheduled to go into effect on January 2008.
